Position: Part time social media and communications assistant

Location: At our studio (Kerrisdale Area) and remotely
Commitment: 8-12 hours weekly (with possibility for more hours)

Role overview:
We are excited to be seeking a passionate and creative Social Media and Communication Assistant to join our tight knit team of three here at Hijulez. In this role, you will play a crucial part in amplifying our brand's message, engaging with our community, and driving our sustainable fashion initiatives through various social media platforms and communication channels.


-Create captivating, visually appealing, and on-brand social media posts, stories, and videos that highlight our sustainable fashion products, initiatives, and behind-the-scenes content.

-Engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and interactions across all social media platforms, fostering a sense of community and connection.

-Assist in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns, product launches, and keeping our Shopify store updated.

-Contribute to the creation of written content such as blog posts, product descriptions, and newsletters to effectively communicate our brand's mission and values.


-Degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

-Strong passion for sustainable fashion and a solid understanding of its principles and trends.

-Proficiency in social media platforms including Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest, etc. Making reels, tiktoks and short format content.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-Creative mindset with the ability to think visually and develop engaging content.

-Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

-Previous experience in social media management, content creation, or marketing is advantageous.

-Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. We work hard but love to have fun :)
